Eines der gr\u00f6\u00dften und am besten erhaltenen antiken griechischen Theater, Dodoni, wurde im 3. Jahrhundert v. Chr. von K\u00f6nig Pyrros von Epirus erbaut. Auch heute noch finden hier in den Sommermonaten einige Auff\u00fchrungen statt.<\/p>\n

Nikopolis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nicopolis wurde 29 v. Chr. von C\u00e4sar Augustus gegr\u00fcndet und war die Hauptstadt der r\u00f6mischen Provinz Epirus Vetus. Die beeindruckenden Ruinen der antiken Stadt sind auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.<\/p>\n

Der Acherontas-Fluss<\/strong><\/p>\n

In der antiken griechischen Mythologie war der Acheron als \"Fluss des Unheils\" bekannt. Im wirklichen Leben wimmelt es nur so von Leben, und er verzaubert Tagesausfl\u00fcgler mit seinem artenreichen \u00d6kosystem aus majest\u00e4tischen Schluchten, Teichen und Wasserf\u00e4llen sowie zahlreichen D\u00f6rfern am Flussufer.<\/p>\n
