Water stewardship

We’re committed to monitoring and where necessary improving our water and energy usage. We prioritise water efficiency through regular monitoring, leak prevention, and staff training. Water-saving fixtures like flow regulators and dual-flush toilets are standard, with central systems optimising usage. Automated night-time irrigation and reduced lawn areas – Nido and Elix are lawn-free – further cut water use. Pools feature recycling, purification, and efficient cleaning to minimise waste. Water is sourced sustainably from municipal supplies or desalination, always in legal compliance, with MarBella using a licensed seawater intake system.

Managing energy efficiently

Energy management is a key part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability. Guided by a five-year masterplan, reviewed and updated annually, we focus embracing new technologies, and improving efficiency across all our properties. This plan is fully woven into our daily operations and budget planning, helping us make thoughtful, forward-looking choices. Every step we take, from design to implementation, reflects our responsibility to efficient energy management.

A toast to cork  

While sipping a cocktail at any of our hotels, you might notice our wooden cork recycling crates. Every year in Greece, over 140 million corks end up in landfills, a staggering number for a material that holds so much potential. We’ve partnered with CorkCycle to give natural cork a second life, sending off our used stoppers to be turned into playground flooring, furniture, insulation, and more.

Inspiring the younger generation

Our Grasshoppers Kids Club inspires curiosity about the environment through fun, hands-on activities. Through our Eco & Nature programme, in partnership with Worldwide Kids, children learn through play with eco-focused experiences like nature crafts, and environmental experiments.
