From protecting the natural environment and energy-saving initiatives through to special activities for our guests, our commitment to sustainability affects all areas of our operations.
MarBella Corfu has operated a strict environmental and corporate responsibility programme since 1999 and with everyone’s participation we continue to achieve our goals. We are constantly seeking ways to reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and promote eco-friendly practices across our entire operations with the aim of having a positive social and environmental impact wherever we operate.
We are constantly working to reduce pollution through reducing our consumption of energy across all areas of our operations. From using our natural resources to heat water, reducing guest energy usage to desalination systems, we are making big steps in reducing our carbon footprint.
We are committed to preserving our region’s natural environment and local communities. We operate in accordance with international, national and local law, as well as having our own proactive corporate social responsibility policy. Each of our hotels has its own team overseeing initiatives and ensuring continuous improvement across recycling, water irrigation and all other areas of our operations.
Our newest property, MarBella Elix is “Bike Friendly” certified, having fulfilled a range of internationally recognized criteria. Certified by NATTOUR, a non-profit organization that aims to protect the environment and promotes the development of alternative forms of tourism, giving priority to cycling tourism.
When it comes to the environment, we’re all in this together and to make our initiatives work we’d love your help. You can do this in many ways from reporting leaking taps and re-using towels to showering before entering our pools.
